It's a boy! Chestnut brother to Frankel born
OUTSTANDING dual world champion Frankel has a new baby brother after his dam Kind foaled a Galileo colt at Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket on Saturday.
There is one significant difference between the new arrival and his siblings: he is a chestnut, whereas Frankel and all of Kind's other progeny are bay.
Banstead Manor Stud manager Simon Mockridge described the foal as "attractive with size and scope".
Kind has had four runners, three of whom have scored at Pattern level - besides Frankel the others are Lingfield Derby Trial winner Bullet Train (who begins his stallion career in Kentucky this year) and Gordon Stakes winner Noble Mission (also by Galileo).
Kind, a daughter of Danehill who landed two Listed sprints for Roger Charlton, also has Morpheus, a three-year-old colt by Oasis Dream, and an unnamed two-year-old filly by Oasis Dream in training with Sir Henry Cecil.
Juddmonte general manager Philip Mitchell said: "We are delighted with Kind's latest foal and I can confirm taht whe will be returning to visit Galileo in 2013."
Frankel begins his stallion career at Banstead Manor Stud this month.
