Invincible Spirit fee up to €65,000 for 2013

IRISH National Stud flagship stallion Invincible Spirit has had his fee raised from €60,000 this year to €65,000 for 2013.

The increase comes on the back of a good year for the son of Green Desert, with Mayson winning the July Cup, Moonlight Cloud winning the Prix Maurice de Gheest and Prix du Moulin, and Rosdhu Queen taking the Cheveley Park Stakes.

Haydock Sprint Cup winner Invincible Spirit retired at a fee of €10,000, which increased to €35,000 in 2007 after he broke the record for number of individual two-year-old winners in his first crop, and rose again to €75,000 a year later after his first three-year-olds included Prix du Jockey Club hero Lawman, now a successful sire in his own right.

Next year's newcomers to the Irish National Stud, Dragon Pulse and Famous Name, have had their fees set at €6,000 and €4,000.

Big Bad Bob and Jeremy have had their fees left unchanged at €6,000, while Lord Shanakill and Art Connoisseur also remain the same in 2013, at €5,000 and €4,500.

All fees are on October 1 terms.
