THE model of consistency that is Zebedee landed win number six of the season in the Group 2 Polypipe Flying Childers Stakes on Friday, and the precocious speedster continues to be strong advert for his sire Invincible Spirit.

His latest win follows success in the Listed Dragon Stakes, the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes, and the £100,000 Tattersalls Millions Auction Stakes last time out.

His dam, Cozy Maria, has bred three previous runners, all of whom were maidens, two by Lemon Drop Kid and Zebedee's three-parts brother by Oasis Dream, Satwa Son. Cozy Maria is out of a half-sister to Miss Alleged, a Group 2 winner in France who was second in the Prix Vermeille before heading to the US where she won the Grade 1 Hollywood Turf Cup.

A 70,000gns purchase from Book 1 of Tattersalls October book 1 by Peter Doyle for owner Julie Wood, Zebedee led home Dinkum Diamond and New Planet, the progeny of first-season sires Aussie Rules and Majestic Missile.
