HOORAY (f Invincible Spirit - Hypnotize by Machiavellian) Breeder: Cheveley Park Stud Ltd

CHEVELEY Park Stud homebred Hooray bounced back to form at York on Thursday when bagging the Lowther Stakes at the expense of Margot Did and Rimth.

The Sir Mark Prescott-trained filly is the 12th European stakes winner this year for Invincible Spirit and 40th for the stallion overall. The son of Green Desert has also enjoyed success in Australia as the sire of Yosei, a Group 1 winner earlier this year.

Conceived the year when Invincible Spirit's fee leapt from €10,000 to €35,000 following the success of his first two-year-olds, Hooray is bred on the same Machiavellian cross as classy sprinter Conquest.

She  is the latest high-class performer to don the Cheveley Park Stud silks descending from Belle Et Deluree. The daughter of The Minstrel was an early US purchase by the stud, who were rewarded when she produced the Group 1-winning two-year-old Dazzle and Listed winners Fantasize and Hynotize. She also features as the granddam of Humouresque and Danehurst.

Hooray is the second stakes winner out of Hynotize following Listed winner Hypnotic (Lomitas). The mare has a yearling filly by Pivotal and a colt foal by the same sire.
