Ballylinch Stud unveils covering fees for 2011

BALLYLINCH STUD in County Kilkenny has released stud fees for next year's covering season.

All of its stallions remain at the same fee as in 2010, except Dewhurst Stakes winner Intense Focus, who has had his fee shaved by €500 to €6,000.

Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Bachelor Duke will, for the second consecutive season, remain at his southern-hemisphere shuttling base at the Oaks Stud in New Zealand.

The son of Miswaki, who retired to Ballylinch in 2005, was the leading first-season sire in New Zealand of 2008-2009. His best European offspring is Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes winner Luminous Eyes.

Lawman, whose first-crop yearlings this year have been popular in the ring, generating a dozen six-figure sales, remains unchanged at €15,000.
