Reprocolor family to the fore again at Tattersalls

AFTER John Ferguson paid 460,000gns to secure a Dubawi great-granddaughter of Reprocolor on Sheikh Mohammed's behalf earlier in the afternoon, John Magnier, representing bloodstock's other powerhouse, Coolmore, went to 550,000gns for a Montjeu colt whose second dam is the Meon Valley Stud bluehen (315).

Meon Valley Stud consigned the colt, whose dam Colorspin, an Irish Oaks-winning daughter of High Top, was born in 1983.

Her earlier foals include dual Ascot Gold Cup winner Kayf Tara and triple Group 1 scorer Opera House, both by Montjeu's sire Sadler's Wells, and Prix de l'Opera heroine Zee Zee Top, by Zafonic.

Ferguson was later on the mark for two well-related yearlings, paying 360,000gns for a Bernardini half-sister to last season's Dewhurst Stakes scorer Intense Focus (338) and the second foal out of Yorkshire Oaks runner-up Dash To The Top, a colt by Red Ransom (344).
