Inglis auction continues positive Australian trend

A FURTHER glimpse of the current strength of the Australian sales market came with the Inglis March Thoroughbred Sale in Melbourne, which produced a clearance rate of  92 per cent.

It follows this week's Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling sale, which saw an 83.9 per cent clearance rate, a 20 per cent increase in average anda 39.2 per cent increase in turnover.

The Inglis auction saw 197 lots sold for Aus$1,343,700 headed by the six-time winner  Keano at  $92,000. "We’re obviously very pleased with today’s trading. Any sale with a 92% clearance rate is reflective of vendor satisfaction,” said Inglis director Peter Heagney.
