Indian Have on the move to Withyslade Stud

INDIAN HAVEN is relocating from the Irish National Stud to David and Helen Bond’s Withyslade Stud for the 2012 season. The farmstood Kier Park this spring.

Winner of the Free Handicap and the Irish 2000 Guineas in 2003, Indian Haven was retired for the 2005 season after failing to rediscover that Group 1 Classic-winning form in subsequent races.

By Indian Ridge, his leading performers are the Group 3 winners Aspen Darling, who won the Firth of Clyde Stakes and finished second in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes, and Ashram, winner of the Somerville Tattersall Stakes.

Indian Haven's 21 winners so far this year include Beachfire, winner of the Listed Wolferton Stakes, and the Italian Listed winner Tellovo.

He covered 87 mares at the Irish National Stud in 2010 at nomination fee of €3,000 having retired to stud ata fee of €6,000. His highest-priced yearling of 2010 fetched 48,000gns, while his yearling average was 7,500gns for 11 sold.
