Impressive bonus
winner for Baltic King

PAY Freeze maintained the goodrun of Mick Channon's two-year-olds when running out the five-length winner of the 6f maiden at York on Saturday.

In the process, the colt - owned by Lord Isley Racing (Hern Syndicate) - became the fourth Racing Post Yearling Bonus winner of the season for the Channon yard.

The seventh winner sired this year by Tally Ho Stud's second-crop sire Baltic King, Pay Freeze was purchased by GillRichardson for just €7,500 from his breeder, Tally Ho Stud, at last year's Goffs Orby Sale.

He is a brother to triple winner Bella Ophelia and a three-parts brother to Italian Listed winner Golden Danetime. His dam, Banco Solo, is an unraced Distant Relative sister to the Group 1-placed My Branch, the dam of the top-class sprinter Tante Rose and high-class juvenile Bay Tree.
