hits right Marois note

A full breeding analysis of Immortal Verse and Prix Guillaume d'Ornano winner Galikova will appear in the results section of Tuesday's Racing Post.

KILFRUSH Stud's famous Mill Princess family was to the fore again on Monday, this time through Richard Strauss' brilliant Prix Jacques Le Marois winner Immortal Verse.

One of 20 Group/Grade 1 winners by Cheveley Park Stud's Pivotal, Immortal Verse is the fifth foal out of Side Of Paradise, a Listed-winning Sadler's Wells daughter of Mill Princess and half-sister to the brilliant sprinter-miler Last Tycoon. Daughters of Mill Princess also produced the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches winners Tie Black and Valentine Waltz.

It is a family which has enjoyed a good run of late, producing this season's Poule d'Essai des Pouliches runner-up Glorious Sight and Anglesey Stakes heroine Fire Lily.

Immortal Verse is the second stakes winner by Pivotal out of a Sadler´s Wells mare following high-class miler Emerald Commander.
