Miss Andretti first foal Magic Millions-bound

THE first foal produced by top Australian sprint mare Miss Andretti, the impressive winner of the 2007 King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, will be offered at January's Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling sale.

The yearling, born on September 1, is a chestnut colt by Darley shuttler Exceed And Excel. He will be consigned to the sale by Toolooganvale Farm.

A daughter of Royal Academy stallion Ihtiram, Miss Andretti was retired to the paddocks with a record of 19 wins – including five at the highest level – from 31 starts for earnings of A$2.8 million.

Her King's Stand Stakes victory came at the expense of runner-up Dandy Man, with her compatriots Magnus and Takeover Target filling third and fourth places.

Magic Millions managing director David Chester said: "We are delighted to have received such quality nominations from Sean Buckley and the Ultra Thoroughbreds team - in particular the colt from Miss Andretti."

Joining Miss Andretti's first foal at the Gold Coast sale will be leading sprinter Starspangledbanner's half-brother, by Tale Of The Cat stallion Purrealist.
