Hystericalady half-sister tops Keeneland session
A HALF-SISTER to Grade 1 winner Hystericalady provided a ray of light at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale on Tuesday when sold for $450,000.
The eight-year-old Concern mare, named Concern Nacca, was consigned by WinStar Racing and sold in-foal to Invasor to Tasuku Tsuji.
WinStar Racing sold 19 horses for $1,208,000 on Tuesday. They included Pool Play, a three-year-old colt by Silver Deputy who was purchased by Bill Farish for $180,000, and Fine Flyer, a four-year-old Fusaichi Pegasus half-brother to Kentucky Oaks heroine Keeper Hill who was knocked down to Samantha Will for $165,000.
The Winstar consignment could not save figures for the Tuesday session showing significant downturns on the same day's trading last year, though.
Total receipts were down down 34.2 per cent from$8,200,300 to $5,395,500, the average was down 24 per cent from $30,598 to $23,256, and the median of $15,000 was down 33.3 per cent from last year’s $22,500.
