Camacho gets a Listed winner at Doncaster

HUMIDOR, who previously had Group-placed black-type by his name, turned that into winning form when collecting the first stakes raceof the St Leger meeting, the Listed Scarbrough Stakes.

Humidor was bred by Yeomanstown Stud and is by Morristown Lattin's stallion Camacho, a son of Danehill and a half-brother to Gimcrack Stakes (G2) winner and Middle Park Stakes (G1) third,  Showcasing. He cost Amanda Skiffington 14,000gns at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, but has since been withdrawn three times from various sales - the latest being the Tattersalls July sale.

Humidor's victory gave the sire a third Listed winner - he has had one Group race winner, Puff who collected the Fred Darling Stakes (G3) in April 2010. He stands at €4,000 having retired to stud at that fee, which dropped to €3,000 for just one year in 2009. He has had the winners of 64 races.

He has had five yearlings sell so far this year- they have averaged 19,560gns. He has ten lots catalogued in the Tattersalls Ireland September Sale and one in the Goffs Orby Sale.
