Huge value to Lingfield maiden win of Rhapsody

A CRUCIAL win was secured at Lingfield by Moonlight Rhapsody on only her second start after being pulled up as a juvenile last season at Chester. Rarely can a first prize of £2,115 have meant so much.

Victory for the  Barronstown Stud-bred filly will see her broodmare value significantly enhanced. Moonlight Rhapsody is a daughter of Danehill Dancer and the Sadler's Wells mare Moon Flower, who has already produced the Australian Group 2 winner Fantastic Love, who was also Listed-placed in Britain.

Her extended family is first-rate: second dam Mil Princess produced high-class sprinters Last Tycoon and Astronef, and is a half-sister to Irish Bird, dam of Assert, Eurobird, and Bikkala.
