Lanwades Stud releases 2009 fees
LANWADES Stud has announced its stud fees for 2009. Fees for three of its five existing stallions have been reduced, while theother two remain the same as in 2008.
As reported earlier this month, Selkirk, sire of Pipedreamer, Blythe Knight and Tranquil Tiger, has had his fee reduced from £35,000 to £25,000.
Sir Percy, the 2006 Derby hero who stood his first season at stud at Lanwades this year at £8,000, has had his fee cut to £7,000 for 2009.
With Approval, who formerly stood at Brookdale Farm in Kentucky before moving to Lanwades for 2006, has had his fee adjusted downwards slightly from £5,000 to £4,500.
The fee for Hernando, sire of this year's Oaks heroine Look Here, remains unaltered from £12,000 last year. Piccolo will also cost the same as in 2008 – £5,000.
Lanwades' new recruit for 2009, Japanese import Vita Rosa, will stand at £4,500 in his first year at stud.
