Heliodor wins again
for Scrimshaw

HELIODOR, the only European winner to date for US freshman sire Scrimshaw, made it two wins for the season in the Zetland Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.

Bred by Kim Nardelli, Heliodor was a successful pinhook, having been bought for $30,000 at Keeneland in January 2007 and resold seven months later at the Doncaster St. Legeryearling sale for 30,000gns. Peter Doyle was the buyer, and the colt is now trained by Richard Hannon.

By Gulch, Scrimshaw finished third in Funny Cide's Preakness Stakes. He stood at just $3,500 at Millennium Farms in Kentucky this year.
