Hasili returns to UK for date with Oasis Dream

OUTSTANDING broodmare Hasili has been brought back to Banstead Manor Stud after a spell at Juddmonte's American base.

Juddmonte confirmed that the 17-year-old daughter of Kahyasi had arrived safely in Newmarket last week, and "was looking extremely well".

Hasili has one of the best records of any broodmare of recent times. She has produced five individual Group 1 winners — Banks Hill, Heat Haze, Intercontinental, Cacique and most recently Champs Elysees — as well as Group 2 winner Dansili.

Both Cacique and Dansili, sire of Arc hero Rail Link and three other Group 1 winners, stand at Banstead Manor Stud.

Hasili has a yearling filly by Storm Cat and an Empire Maker filly foal on the ground.

She foaled late this year and consequently was not covered, but Juddmonte has said that she will "in all probability" be covered by Oasis Dream next year.

Oasis Dream is by Green Desert, the sire of Heat Haze. Green Desert and Danehill, who sired Hasili's other five winners, are both sons of Danzig.
