Speedmaster transferred from Germany to France

GROUP 2 winner Speedmaster is to move from Gestüt Harzburg in Germany to Haras de Grand Chesnaie in France for the 2009 breeding season.

The 11-year-old son of Monsun had Polish Summer and Yavana's Pace behind when winning the  1m7½f Prix Vicomtesse Vigier in 2001.

He was retired to Harzburg in 2005 and stood at a fee of €3,000 in his first season. In his second and third seasons at stud he stood at €2,500, but this year his fee was raised to €5,000.

The fee for his first year at Haras de Grand Chesnaie, where the current stallion roster includes Loup Solitaire, will be €1,500.

Speedmaster is the sire of four individual winners to date.
