French sires Namid and Muhaymin swap studs

STALLIONS Namid and Muhaymin are swapping studs within France for next year’s breeding season.

Namid, who has stood at the Haras du Hoguenet in Normandy for the past two seasons after arriving from Rathbarry Stud, will switch to the Haras des Faunes in the south-west of France.

Namid, a son of Indian Ridge, wonthe Prix de l’Abbaye for John Oxx and his best performer to date, Total Gallery, also landed the Longchamp Group 1 sprint.

Muhaymin, a son of A.P.Indy and 1,000 Guineas heroine Shadayid, is making the reverse journey.

Muhaymin began his stud career at the Haras des Faunes in 2007 and, from limited opportunities, has made a good impression with his first two crops. He is sire of Listed winners Action Chope and Skallet as well as Listed-placed Maxi Chop.
