Siyouni has his first mares scanned in foal

SIYOUNI, enlisted to the stallion roster at his owner-breeder the Aga Khan's Haras de Bonneval in Normandy this year, has had his first three mares scanned in foal.

They include Ponte Di Legno, by Siyouni's Bonneval studmate Sinndar and out of Prix Maurice de Gheest winner Porlezza, and Ebiyana, a daughter of Halling whose dam is a half-sister to Irish Oaks winner Ebadiyla.

Siyouni was a clear-cut winner of the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at two and finished placed in teh Prix Jean Prat and Prix du Moulin last year at three.

He is by Pivotal and out of Listed winner Sichilla, a Danehill half-sister to leading French sire Slickly.

He has been syndicated and Bonneval manager Georges Rimaud said: "We are delighted by the support Siyouni received. He has been very popular and the syndication was a success. This will give him a good start at stud."

Siyouni's stud fee in 2011 is €7,000.
