Hannon colt steps out of Shadows to landbonus

THE  latest Racing Post Yearling Bonus was landed at Windsor by some familiar names - trainer Richard Hannon and agent Peter Doyle, on the day the latter announced that his son Ross would take a more prominent role in the business.

Their  £10,000 windfall came when Lord Ofthe Shadows went one better than  his debut on the same course to land the EBF Maiden.

A son of Kyllachy, Lord Ofthe Shadows races for Richard Hitchcock and Alan King. He was bought by Doyle at Tattersalls last year for 70,000gns. His consignor Rathbarry Stud had bought him as a foal for 30,000gns.

The juvenile hails from an Oppenheimer family with second dam Balnaha being a full-sister to Inchmurrin, herself dam of Inchinor. Balnaha, meanwhile, produced the Coronation Stakes winner Balisada and is granddam of Listed Godolphin Stakes winner Galactic Star.
