Half-brother to War Front to stud in Florida

FACTUM, a half-brother to leading young sire War Front who ran fourth in the 2010 Beresford Stakes for Aidan O'Brien, has been retired to stand at Stonehedge Farm South in Florida.

A fee for the four-year-old son of Storm Cat will be announced at a later date.

Factum was successful in a 7f Dundalk maiden for O'Brien before running fourth to Casamento in the Beresford Stakes. Out of the Grade 1-placed Rubiano mare Starry Dreamer, he is a half-brother to five winners including the Grade 2-winning sprinter War Front, Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Teammate and Grade 3 winner Ecclesiastic.

War Front is one of America's leading young sires, having produced two Grade 1 winners in his first crop. As a result, the son of Danzig is standing this season at Claiborne Farm in Kentucky for $60,000, a significant increase on his retirement fee of $12,500.
