Hail Holy Queen bought by Stroud for €50,000

JOHN Hammond's Hail Holy Queen started the ball rolling on the third day of Arqana's Breeding Stock Sale when selling to Anthony Stroud for €50,000.

The winner of two races this year for the Chantilly based handler, the daughter of Highest Honor comesfrom the closes family of Group 2 winner Roi Gironde.

Stroud said by telephone afterwards, "Hail Holy Queen was recommended to me by her trainer, and she might rejoin him for next season. I have bought her for a farmer in North Tipperary, and she looks like she has some petrol left in the tank."
