Group race one-two for bargain first-season sire

French based stallion Kendargent has sired his first stakes winner courtesy of Restiadargent in the Group 3 Prix D'Arenberg.

In what was a striking achievement for a sire who stands at  €1,000, Kendargent also sired the runner-up Kendam.

The result was also a triumph for Guy Pariente, who not only bred and owns the first two, but also stands the sire at Haras de Colleville.

Kendargent who has nowsired three winners, won once in 11 starts for Yannick Fouin but held his own at Group level, notably when a head second to Kentucky Dynamite in the Prix Paul de Moussac and fourth behind Stormy River in the Prix Jean Prat.

The son ofKendor stands for  €1,000 at Haras de Colleville in France.
