Grands Crus brother wins well at Ffos Las

THE David Pipe-trained Gevrey Chambertin, a brother to the leading novice chaser Grand Crus, was a hugely impressive winner of the oddschecker.mobi "Newcomers" Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Ffos Las on Wednesday.

The son of Dom Alco was bought by Hubert Barbe for €150,000 at Arqana in June and is the second winner for the unraced Phantom Breeze mare Fee Magic.

Fee Magic is a half-sister to five winners, including the Listed-winning hurdler Al Tip.

Dom Alco died last December but his progeny continue to excel this season, with the likes of Al Ferof and Silviniaco Conti developing into leading novice chasers.
