Grade 1 winner Get Stormy to Crestwood

TOP AMERICAN turf performer Get Stormy will enter stud in 2013 at Crestwood Farm in Kentucky. The son of Stormy Atlantic will stand for $5,000 and will be available to use as part of the 'Share the Upside' incentive programme.

Campained by breeder Mary Sullivan under her Sullimar Stable banner and trained by Tom Bush, Get Stormy won two Grade 3 races as a three-year-old and a pair of Saratoga Grade 2 races - the Fourtstardave Handicap and Bernard Baruch Handicap - at four.

He captured his first Grade 1 when successful in the Maker's Mark Mile at Keeneland in the spring of 2011 and supplemented that victory by taking the Grade 1 Woodford Reserve Classic over 1m1f at Churchill Downs.

Get Stormy returned this year to capture his third Grade 1, the Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap, in his familiar front-running style.

He retires as the winner of 11 of 31 starts and earnings of over $1.6 million.
