Grade 1-placed Rising Moon sold to Jamaica

RISING Moon, who ran placed in two renewals of the Grade 1 Suburban Handicap, has been sold to stand in Jamaica in a deal brokered by Chad Schumer Bloodstock.

The dual stakes-winning son of Runaway Groom will stand at Bombay Stud Farm alongside this year's earlier acquisition Taqarub, a Grade 3-winning son of Aldebaran.

In addition to his placings in the Suburban Handicap, Rising Moon was also placed in the Grade 2 Brooklyn Handicap and earned over $300,000 in prize-money.

He is the best foal out of the Grade 3-placed Beat, a Nijinsky granddaughter of Monade who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Too Chic.
