Grade 1-placed Pollard's Vision sires first winner

GRADE 1-placed Pollard's Vision was represented by his first winner on Sunday when Air Crew landed the 5f maiden at Milan by two-and-a-quarter lengths.

Riccardo Menichetti trains the colt on behalf of Razza dell'Olmo. He is the third winner out of Crystal Bull, a winning daughter of Holy Bull, and was led out unsold at $19,000 at the KeenelandSeptember Sale last year.

A tough and versatile performer, Pollard's Vision won six of 23 starts including the Grade 2 Illinois Derby. He also ran second in the Grade 1 Pimlico Special Handicap, in which he beat Funny Cide and Offlee Wild.

The son of Carson City stands at Wintergreen Stallion Station in Kentucky, where he stood his first three seasons for $10,000. His fee was halved to $5,000 this year.
