Lookin At Lucky: the son of Smart Strike stands at Coolmore's Ashford Stud

Grade 1 mares aplenty in Lookin At Lucky's book

LOOKIN AT LUCKY, a new recruit to Coolmore's Ashford Stud in Kentucky this year, has at least 17 Group/Grade 1 winners or producersin his first book.

The mares include Take Charge Lady, winner of the Spinster Stakes in 2002 and 2003.

Breeders have also booked in I'll Get Along, dam of Kentucky Derby hero Smarty Jones; Antoinette, dam of last month's Santa Monica Stakes winner Switch; Turko's Turn, dam of 2001 Horse Of The Year Point Given; and Half Queen, dam of champion juvenile filly Halfbridled.

Lookin At Lucky boasted champion honours in both his seasons to race: juvenile colt after winning the Del Mar Futurity and Norfolk Stakes, and three-year-old colt after winning the Preakness and Haskell Invitational.

Lookin At Lucky is a Smart Strike half-brother to dual Grade 2 winner Kensei out of Private Feeling, a sprint winning daughter of Belong To Me.
