Impressive Group 3 winner for Dalakhani

GOLDWAKI, an Andre Fabre-trained son of Dalakhani, was a cosy winner of the Prix Du Lys on  Sunday.

The colt, owned and bred by Wertheimer et frere, has now won all four starts in his three-year-old campaign, and will no doubt face another step up in class having taken his first Group race assignment in his stride.

He is the sixth foal of the Caerleon mare Gold Round, and a half-brother to Spectaculaire, a Listed winner over 1m7f in France.

Dalakhani's stud record includes two Group 1 winners, King George, St Leger and dual Breeders' Cup Turf winner Conduit, and the Irish Oaks winner Moonstone.

The Arc winner's first crop are now five, and he currently commands a fee of €50,000 at Gilltown Stud.
