Calming Influence heads Tatts February entries

DRAFTS from Darley and Juddmonte are two of the highlights of a 272-strong catalogue for the Tattersalls February Sale on February 3.

Darley's draft of 14 contains two classy performers in last year's Godolphin Mile hero Calming Influence and Longchamp Group 3 winner Golden Century as well as the usual selection of well-bred fillies.

Juddmonte's 18-strong entry includes Make Light, an Empire Maker daughter of Grade 1 winner Light Jig, and Radiant Dream, an Oasis Dream half-sister to July Cup winner Continent.

Group 3 winners Pollen and Dingle View, who was unsold at £140,000 at the DBS December Sale, have also been entered as has Sari, the dam of Listed juvenile winner Lily Again, and Dearest Daisy, the dam of Norfolk Stakes third Excel Bolt.

Last year's sale was topped by the four-year-old Rhythm Queen, a Danehill Dancer half-sister to Prix du Jockey-Club runner-up Best Name who was knocked down to Dwayne Woods for 55,000gns. Turnover increased by 40 per cent to 991,500gns while the average rose marginally to 6,745gns. The median was unchanged at 3,500gns.
