Roberto Goldback among DBS Spring Sales entries

THE catalogue for this year's renewal of the DBS Spring Sales - which boasts Bob’s Worth, Diamond Harry, Riverside Theatre, Tidal Bay, Weapon’s Amnesty and Voy Por Ustedes among its recent graduates - has been released.

The horses in training section takes place on Tuesday, May 24,  and Wednesday, 25, and 470 lots have been entered to go under the hammer.

Among the possible horses in training highlights is Roberto Goldback, a dual Grade 2-winning chaser who unseated his rider when looking likely to win the Guinness Gold Cup at Punchestown thismonth.

Also entered are bumper winners Make A Track, Rojo Vivo, Bygones Sovereign, Savant Bleu and Black Benny as well as impressive hunter chase scorer Quotico De Poyans.

The draft from the Million in Mind Partnership  includes Nadiya De La Vega, who was the 13-length winner of a novice chase at Warwick before being placed in the Grade 2 Future Champion Novices' Chase at Ayr on her latest start.

Among the point-to-point winners in the catalogue are Glenwood Present, Rowdy Roacher, Border Pass, Yes Way Hosay,
William Money, Over And Above, Shockingtimes, Pure Class, Wake Up Milan, Bawn Reagh, Admiral Barton and Adios Alonso.

National Hunt stores go through the ring on Thursday, May 26. Entrants for this part of the sale includes an Alderbrook half-brother to top-class hurdler Peddlers Cross.

DBS managing director Henry Beeby said: ‘The DBS team is absolutely delighted with the quality of horses, both proven and unproven, that we have catalogued for sale.

"Although reduced in the numbers, the HIT section contains a hugely exciting selection of impressive Bumper winners, multiple point-to-point winners and proven Grade 1 performers and, because the lower rated horses have been retained by connections, this catalogue gives us renewed confidence that there will be a host of high class Spring Sales graduates winning at the top level in the forthcoming NH seasons.

"We have purposely reduced the number of NH Stores in 2011 and we are delighted with the selection that we have put together. Not only are they some of the finest physical specimens thatwe have offered for some time but they boast some top class pedigrees and include no fewer than nine half siblings to Grade 1 winners - Arcalis, Blazing Bailey, Fulip, Minella Class, Peddlers Cross, Scotsirish, Strong Flow, Spectroscope and Souffleur - and all of these horses are eligible for the £50,000 DBS Spring Sales Bumper at Newbury in March 2012.

"A three day sale that has a proven track record of providing Grade 1 success from both sectors of the sale and attracts all of the major NH buyers year on year – there is no other NH Sale like it and we look forward to welcoming all of the major NH purchaser to DBS later this month."
