Goffs publishes Dundalk NH breeze-up catalogue

SIXTY-SEVEN lots have been catalogued for the Goffs National Hunt Breeze-Up, which will take place on Dundalk's all-weather  surface on January 21, 2009.

Popular sires due to be represented at the sale include Presenting, Flemensfirth, Oscar, Accordion, Beneficial, Bob Back and Saddlers' Hall.

Among the lots on offer is a Tagula half-sister to the unbeaten Christmas Hurdle winner Feathard Lady, offered by Cregview Stud. Tagula is perhaps better known as a sire of sprinters, with the likes of Tax Free and Beaver Patrol featuring high among his best progeny to date.

Other intriguing lots in the catalogue, on paper at least, include a five-year-old Bob Back filly out of Grade 1-winning chaser Double Symphony, a Dilshaan half-brother to Noel Meade's high-class jumper Zum See, and a Bach half-brother to Sefton Novices' Hurdle winner Garruth.

Forty-two lots were sold at last year's Goffs January National Hunt breeze-up sale for an average of €26,012, with a top price of €150,000 paid for a Luso half-brother to Solerina.

The catalogue for this year's sale can be viewed online at www.goffs.com.
