Langfuhr colt heads early exchanges at Kempton

A STRONG January-born son of Langfuhr was the highlight of the early exchanges at the Goffs Kempton Breeze Up on Friday, selling to Guildford-based owner Anne Cowley for £42,000.

The colt, who is out of the unraced Hennessy mare Western Vision and consigned by Powerstown Stud, will join trainer Stef Liddiard near Lambourn. He was a €38,000 buy by Francis Woods at last year's Goffs Million Sale.

As expected, trade has been sticky with ten of the first 22 lots through the ring led out unsold, four of whom failed to attract the minimum bid of £5,000.
