Ferguson buys €240k Bethrah half-brother

SHEIKH MOHAMMED'S principal bloodstock buyer John Ferguson went to €240,000 to secure a Nayef half-brother to this season's Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Bethrah in Thursday's concluding session of the Goffs November foal sale.

The colt was consigned by Jockey Hall Stud on behalf of the breeders Tullpark Limited.


Reve D'Iman is a winning sister to Prix Saint-Alary heroine Reve D'Oscar, out of Listed winner Numidie.

Nayef and his son Tamayuz - whose filly out of Chelsea Rose sold for €220,000 - now accountfor the second and third-most expensive foals sold at the sale.
