Goffs Dundalk breeze-up goes without hitch

A colt by first-crop sire Antonius Pius produced one of the most taking efforts of the morning as the candidates for the GoffsFlat Breeze-Up Sale at Dundalk were put through their paces on Tuesday morning.

Hailing from the Bansha House Stables draft of Con Marnane, Lot 13 is the first foal out of the smart juvenile Vision Of Dreams, whose siblings includethe American stakes winner Green Eyed Lady.

The next lot, a son of the crack sprinter Namid from Willie Browne's Mocklershill Stable, also caught the eye.

Goffs chief executive Henry Beeby said: "We were happy with how everything went. We have a number of recent buyers here from Ireland, England, Greece and Italy and we are quietly hopeful of seeing a reasonable trade for the catalogue that we have put together."
