Gloria to shuttle to owner's stud in Brazil

DUBAI World Cup hero Gloria De Campeao is set to shuttle to his native Brazil for the southern-hemisphere breeding season.

The son of Impression began his stallion career at Alebacks Stuteri in Sweden this spring and now he will cover at his owner Stefan Friborg's Haras Estrela Energia in the town of Tijucas do Sul.

Gloria De Campeao started out racing in South America, where he was twice placed in local Grade 1 races. At four, he joined French trainer Pascal Bary, for whom he won the 2009 Singapore Cup from Presvis and the 2010 Dubai World Cup in a thrillingly close finish from Lizard's Desire.

Gloria De Campeao also finished second to Well Armed in the 2009 Dubai World Cup and to Lizard's Desire in the 2010 Singapore Cup.

The eight-year-old is out of the Clackson mare Audacity.
