Qatar Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp, Longchamp, 5f, (Group 1)

GILT EDGE GIRL (Monsieur Bond-Tahara by Caerleon)
Breeder: Whitsbury Manor Stud

WHITSBURY Manor Stud owner Chris Harper was celebrating the Abbaye victory of Gilt Edged Girl, a filly he bred and races in partnership with the Wood Street Syndicate.

Until this year, Harper also stood her sire Monsieur Bond, who now covers at Norton Grove Stud for a fee of £2,000. Monsieur Bond also sired Saturday's  Listed Totepool Two-Old Trophy winner Ladies Are Forever.

Out of the Caerloen mare Tahara, she is a half-sister to Flying Childers winner Godfrey Street (by Whitsbury sire Compton Place) from the family of last year's Prix Morny winner Arcano and 2004 Norfolk Stakes winner Blue Dakota.
