Falbrav half-brother in SGA Selected Sale

AN Oasis Dream half-brother to eight-time Group 1 winner Falbrav looks one of the standout lots in the SGA Selected Yearling Sale catalogue, which has been published online.

The colt is one of 319 horses entered for the sale, which takes place in Milan on September 21 and 22.

Other siblings to top-flight winners in the catalogue include a Shamardal half-brother to Prix d'Astarte heroine Marbye, and a Hurricane Run half-sister to Prix Vermeille winner Sweet Stream.

Top-class proven stallions with progeny entered include Cape Cross, Galileo and Dalakhani. Ad Valorem and Librettist have the largest representation among the first-crop yearling sires.

Notable graduates of the SGA Selected Yearling Sale include Dubai World Cup winner Electrocutionist and Middle Park Stakes scorer Amadeus Wolf.

The auction's current standard bearer is Eclipse runner-up and Sussex Stakes contender Rip Van Winkle, who was bought by John O'Byrne for €170,000 at the 2007 renewal.
