Adena Springs latest stud to revise 2009 fees

FRANK STRONACH''s Adena Springs Farm has become the latest stud to revise the 2009 stallion fees it had released earlier this year.

Ghostzapper and his sire Awesome Again, who both stand at Adena Springs' Kentucky base and whose fees had originally been left unaltered from their 2008 price of $150,000, have now both been cut to $125,000.

The otherstallions at Adena Springs Kentucky whose fees have been revised downwards are Macho Uno (from $30,000 to $25,000), Congaree ($15,000 to $10,000), Giacomo ($10,000 to $7,500) and Silent Name ($7,500 to $5,000).

Five of the stallions who stand at the farm's Florida operation have alse had their original 2009 fees altered. They are Jeremy Noseda's Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Wilko (from $10,000 to $7,500), Red Bullet ($7,500 to $5,000), Sligo Bay ($5,000 to $3,500), Aristocrat ($3,500 to $2,000) and Indy King ($2,000 to $1,500).

The previously announced 2009 fees for all the other Adena Springs stallions, including Derby winner North Light at $15,000, remain the same.

Stronach said: "Taking into consideration the recent sales results, as well as the overall condition of the economy, we feel that these fee reductions will offer a helping hand to our past and future customers."
