Lucky Story daughter wins Listed at York

PRIMO LADY took the Listed Langleys Solicitors E B F Marygate Fillies' Stakes at York on Friday, two days after her sire, Lucky Story, was found dead in his paddock at Tweenhills Farm.

Trained by Gay Kelleway, the speedy juvenile wears a visor, and was the first Racing Post Yearling Bonus winner when scoring on her debut at Lingfield on March 29.

Lucky Story's star performer was Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes winner Art Connoisseur, and Primo Lady becomes her recntly deceased sire's third black-type winner, with the other being Lucky Like, winner of last season's Listed Totepool Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar.
