Brother to Nightime sold for 650,000gns at the Tattersalls October Sale

Nightime brother matches Tatts top price

SIR ROBERT OGDEN emerged victorious from a bidding duel with John Magnier for lot 300, a full-brother to Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Nightime, on the second day of the Tattersalls Octoberyearling sale Book 1.

Ogden had to go to 650,000gns to secure the Castlebridge Consignment-offered colt by Galileo. The figure matched the top price at the sale so far, given by Angus Gold on behalf of Shadwell for a Pivotal filly outof Briolette (282).

Four Galileo yearlings have been offered so far today: all have sold, for an average of 302,500gns.
