Brilliant Goldikova adds more polish to her line

RECORD breaker Goldikova continued to pay a tremendous tribute to her late sire, the July Cup winner Anabaa, but also to her own female line.
Goldikova's immediate family has boosted this season by Goldwaki, a Dalakhani colt out ofthe homebred superstar's half-sister Gold Round. Goldwaki won Chantilly's Group 3 Prix du Lys.
And her juvenile half-sister by Galileo, Galikova, made a promising winning debut for the Wertheimers at Longchamp in September.
Goldikova is also half-sister to Group 3 winner Gold Sound and the Group 3-placed pair Born Something and Red Tune.
Their dam, the Blushing Groom mare Born Gold, is a sister to the 1993 Coronation Stakes heroine Gold Splash, whose two-year-old, Co Blue Splash, is bred along similar lines to Goldikova as a daughter of Anabaa Blue.
This is a brilliant French family that traces to the 1981 Arc heroine Gold River via the Prix Saint-Alary winner Riviere d'Or.
Born Gold has a filly foal by Anabaa.
