Stardom Bound: white light for sire Tapit

IN a flash of white light, Stardom Bound came with her trademark late run coming wide and from near last to first to win the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies-Gr1, her third Grade 1 success.

She has carried her freshman sire Tapit to the head of the US first-season sire list by prize-money and she is easily his leading earner. He has sired17 winners and Stardom Bound is his only Graded stakes winner. He stands at Gainesway, was a Grade 1 winner at three, is a son of Pulpit and stood for $12,500 for 2008. It is a fair bet that he will be one stallion whose fee will definitely increase for the 2009 season.

Stardom Bound is the fourth foal out of My White Corvette, who finished second in the Honeybee Stakes-Gr3. She is the mare's only stakes winner.

Stardom Bound holds an entry at Fasig-Tipton November, but connections are reconsidering their future options with the filly.
