New Group 3 winner
for Hurricane Run

FUTURE GENERATION became a fourth Group 3 winner for second-season sire Hurricane Run when winning the Desmond Stakes (G3). He matched the achievements of Ballybacka Lady (Anabaa), Don’t Hurry Me (Bering) and Kreem (Rainbow Quest).

The Ger Lyons-trained Future Generation, who had finished second in the Minstrel Stakes (G3) in July, is a first foal out of the unraced Indian Ridge mare, Posterity. She is out of a half-sister to the Coventry Stakes (G3) winner and recently deceased Irish National Stud stallion Verglas, as well as to the good sprinter Cassandra Go.

Coolmore’s  Hurricane Run, the second son of Montjeu to retire to stud after Motivator, achieved a yearling average in 2010 of 35,649gns for 53 sold from 70 offered with a top price of €145,000. In 2009, his first crop ofyearlings averaged 62,123gns with a top price of €520,000, which was given for the colt out of En Public and subsequently named Kreem.
