Son of Lady Carla
heads OBS March

A SON of 1996 Oaks heroine Lady Carla is an interesting entry at the Ocala Breeders' Sale Company's March Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale in Florida on March 17-18.

Consigned by Nick de Meric, the colt is by Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus and a half-brother to Great Voltigeur Stakes third Avalon as well as Tim Vaughan's progressive staying handicapper Prairie Hawk.

Also of European interest is a Giant'sCauseway colt out of Oaks runner-up Kalypso Katie and a daughter of Flying Childers' Stakes third Magic Of Love, by Bernstein.

OBS has catalogued 523 juveniles for the two-day auction, which last year grossed $33,380,000 and returned an average of $143,262. A colt by More Than Ready offered by de Meric topped the sale when selling to Iron Horse Racing for $650,000.

All juveniles will breeze on Ocala's Safetrack surface on March 12-13.
