FRENCH-BASED first-season sire Sageburg secured a first stakes winner on Tuesday when his daughter Peace Burg took her record to three wins from three starts in the Group 3 Prix d'Aumale at Chantilly.
A son of Johannesburg, Sageburg stands at the Haras de la Gatine. His fee this year was €3,000.
Bred by Jean-Luc Lagrdere and raced by the Aga Khan, Sageburg didn't race at two but won a Listed contest over 1m2f a three and he improved again at four to land the Prix d'Ispahan, demoting Darjina to second.
Peace Burg is out of the unraced Sadler's Wells mare Peace Talk, a half-sister to Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud winner and top jumps sire Pistolet Bleu.
Her half-sister Peace Dream won four races over 7f-1m at two to three in France and finished fifth in Darjina's Poule d'Essai des Pouliches.
Peace Burg is one of 56 two-year-olds from the first crop of Sageburg.
