Ad Valorem: the Australian-based sire now has a Group 2-winning juvenile

First Group 2 winner for Ad Valorem

AD VALOREM sired his first Group 2 winner on Saturday when Free Wheeling scored in the Champagne Classic at Doomben over 6f. The juvenile is trained by Peter Snowden for Sheikh Mohammed, who stands Ad Valorem under the Darley Australia banner.

Free Wheeling is out of the Last Tycoon mare Miss Carefree and joins Uate to become the second Group winner by his sire. Both are bred and raced in Australia.

Ad Valorem is by Danzig and won the Middle Park and Queen Anne Stakes. Having stood four northern hemisphere seasons at Coolmore Stud, he will now remain in Australia. His 2010 southern hemisphere fee was A$11,000 (£7,227/€8,282).
