European runner Rallying Cry to stud

RALLYING Cry, who ran third in the 2007 UAE 2,000 Guineas for Godolphin, has been retired to stand at Allaire Farms in Washington.

The seven-year-old son of War Chant was initially trained by John Gosden, for whom he broke his maiden over 7f at Newmarket and ran sixth to Teofilo in the Dewhurst Stakes. Sent to Godolphin, he returned to run third in the UAE 2,000 Guineas and fourth in the UAE Derby.

Rallying Cry ended his racing career in the US where he ran in the colours of Mike and Jeanette Osborn, including at stakes level. He retires having won or been placed in 29 of 39 races.

Rallycry Cry, who was bred by Flaxman Holdings out of French Group 3 winner Turning Wheel, will not stand for a set fee. Instead, breeders are asked to make a $200 to an approved non-profit Thoroughbred rescue charity such as the Second Chance Ranch.
