Folk Opera half-sister makes €22,000 at Goffs

JUST before the yearling section of today's Goffs February Sale began,  Martin Cullinane spent €22,000 on a well related daughter of Green Desert from Moorpark Stud.

The two-year-old is a half-sister to Godolphin's top-class international runner Folk Opera whose finest hour came when she landed the Grade 1 E P Taylor Stakes at Woodbine.

Shortly afterwards Aidan O'Ryan spent €12,000 on a two-year-old son of Cape Cross offered by Derrinstown Stud.

He is thefirst produce out of Kevin Prendergast's triple winner and Listed-placed runner Talwin, whose siblings include last season's top class juvenile hurdler Lethal Weapon.
